My Love Korean Culture

One of my greatest dreams is to visit and explore South Korea in reality. I really love beautiful places and culture that they’ve had. My passion for Korea grew more when I became addicted to Korean Dramas, Music, Movies and even Food.
Korea maintained a balance bet. preserving it’s impressive history and traditions while embracing the tech. of the modern world especially Seoul (one of the busiest cities in the world).  Korean culture is very interesting and full of wonderful traditions. It is a place where we can find both perfect peace and harmony, but unfortunately wars and tragedies as well.

One of the reason why I love Korea is because of their delicious food such as:

Samgyeopsal can be literally translated as 3 layered flesh. I really enjoyed the taste of samgyeopsal! When we eat the grilled pork belly and garlic, green onion salad and soybean paste dipping sauce in fresh lettuce, it’ll be hooked! Do you know that in Korea, the price of pork is much cheaper than beef, so this dish is enjoyed by many people who can’t afford to buy good cuts of beef.

Sogogi Jeongol (Korean Beef Casserole) is a Sliced beef, veggies & a bean curd are arranged in a pan and cooked with beef broth at  table. Some of the recipes call for adding shrimp/clams to make the broth more tasty.  It is eaten with a bowl of rice. Most of the Koreans mix rice w/ spoonfuls of stew.

Bibimpap (비빔밥) –Korean Rice Bowl with Vegetables and Beef
This is one of my favorite Korean food ever hahha tastes is sooo good and ridiculous! It is also a well-known Korean dishes to many people.

Korean dishes are really delicious! PROMISE! :))

After our swimming class

yummy spicy chicken.hahha

Korean ice cream bars and popsicles to beat the heat.
After our swimming class we usually go in a Korean Store to buy a Korean Ice Cream.
 nom nom~ hahahha
For Koreans, Food is a great source of energy coz they believed that energy goes beyond physical strength w/c pertains to strength of mind and soul.

Another reason why I love Korea is because of Korean Drama and Korean Music!
(This Book by Little Miss Hoo is 100% Highly recommended for all of the kpop fans out there!)

I started to get hooked into Kpop stuffs when I was 8 yrs. old. I’ve used to watch Korean Dramas together with my family such as Personal Taste, Cinderella Sister, Iris, Baker King,Prosecutor Princess and many more. I also found there OST very catchy so I downloaded and listened to it before I go to sleep or reviewing my notes.
Korean drama (한국드라마), is a televised dramas that produced in South Korea. Many of these kdramas become popular thoroughout the world especially Asia. It have been contributed to the general phenomenon of the Korean Wave known as Hallyu.

I believe in the saying that “KPOP helps us to unite as one through music. Even if you are a Filipino, Chinese,Thai or watever nationality you are…” Because MUSIC is the ultimate form of communication. Where many things allows you to see the light, music allows you to hear it!It even unite us regardless of our age, gender, physical ability, religion, race, skin colour, sexual orientation, culture and so on. Some of my Lasallian Friends were also part/members of Pinoy K-Pop CGs such as:

Renegade – Nu’est Sailor Shidae – SNSDSuper Simple – Super Junior

So to sum up, K-Pop music is energetic, fun and relatively unique when compared to what you can hear. Music is an expression, a form of art and it doesn’t always need to be understood, necessarily, to be enjoyed. I feel like I was in a different world every time I listened into it and feel emptiness in my part if I wasn’t able to listened in any song in a day.
I also have Korea Travel Guide and Map HAHAHHA 😀 Big thanks to KTO Manila 🙂 This is such a great help to those peeps who haven’t been in Korea and planning to visit it.
