Last October 26,2013 was the 22nd Fil-Korean Cultural Festival and it was held in Aliw Theater. Thank God I won 7 tickets: 5 tix in Blog contest while 2 tix in Twitter. Since I have 4 spare tickets I decided to give the tickets for free since my Lasallian friends wasn’t able to attend. I posted in my twitter account and diff. kpop grps who want to use those tickets. A lot of them texted me and tweeted me.
Before we went in Aliw Theater, we had our lunch 1st in Pepper Lunch. Kyaaa! These girls even threatened me that I’ll gonna treat them if they wouldn’t enjoy the food… hahah
After we ate, we roam around first in SM Mall of Asia. haha
Here’s the sample of the ticket and the program itself.
Tadaaa!!! :))
The Filipino – Korean Cultural Festival is an annual event organized by the United Korean Community Association in the Philippines (UKCA) in partnership with other local groups in the Philippines such as Arirang Town Philippines.
We’ve been surrounded by these Korean Peeps! hahaha
Anw, the event is annually flocked by Koreans and Filipino Korean culture enthusiasts who are ready to witness amazing performances on stage. The highlight of the Filipino – Korean Cultural festival is the Cultural exchange competitions where Pinoys and Koreans battle it out on stage through cultural exchange language & talent competitions.
This is a 2013 promotional video with flowers and tourism attractions as themes. It had been viewed while waiting for the program to start.
This video is composed of beautiful tourist attractions and winter flowers.
Meet our handsome and beautiful emcee 🙂
Okay, so there are 2 major competitions where the Philippines and Korean nationals can part take in. The Filipino – Korean Speech exchange competition is the first half of the two competitions, Filipinos must do a Korean speech while Koreans needs to do a Tagalog speech.
Mr. Timothy Amagna and Ms. Lee Hye Jin are the winners of the Speech Contest. I really did appreciate the speech of Ms. Lee, it is fun and enjoyable! Well both of them are absolutely good! hahaha :))
Here are the Finalist
#1 – Dance Domination Crew
DDC is look familiar to me. I’m not sure if they are one of the contestants of the Kpop Event I am attending to just like Kfest, Knation etc.
#2 – Mr. Lee, Yong Soo
I love the way he sings the Dakilang Lahi. Even the Korean seated beside me ask what the song is all about, coz almost all of the audience applaud in his performance.
#3 – SE-EON
I never expect that Se-eon will be going to perform on that day. ahhaa. Every time I hear der grp, Kuya Jop, Dale, and Edward popped-up always my mind 🙂 Well, I like their dance performance but I think DDC performed well rather than them.
#4 – Dezza Guevarra
Dezza sang one night only. This girl reminds me of Ailee. ahhaha
#5 – Sun Hwa International Academy Dance Troupe
#6 – Manila Hankuk Academy Choir
These Korean kids performed a wonderful medley of classic Tagalog children’s songs that captured the heart of the audience, as well as the judges!
#7– SIXX
SIXX is a CG’s that performed a remix of various k-pop artist! (dance)
Last but not the least, #8 – Ms. Quientero Sharon
She sang “Shin Arirang”. If you guys are watching Arirang TV, you’ll usually hear that song. (commercial)
More excitement was added in the event with the special performances from the Korean Catholic Church
La Pilipina Dance Company
Korean Cultural Center of the Phil (KCC)
Hybrid Crew
(2012 Grand Prize Winner)
They proved how fierce their dance is by performing again for the 2nd time. Well, I usually saw their dance performances in the Kpop Event I’ve been attended before and all I can say is that these girls really own the stage every time they perform.
Nicole Asensio / AVA (Duet)
and Francheska Farr
It’s now time for the Awarding of Plaque of Appreciation Officials
The last part of the program is the Announcement of Winners and Awarding Ceremony.
