Back-to-basic lifestyle in Bag-angan Farm and Resort

Many of us are constantly on the lookout for our next getaway. Camarines Norte, a paradise for sun-seekers and surfers, is one of the popular choices among millennials. So together with my fellow travel bloggers, we went to this place which is famously known because of Calaguas Island. But there’s more to this region than just that.

Bag-Angan Farm and Private resort are owned by Bacer family which is a perfect place if you want to have a social media detox and experience a back to basic lifestyle where there is no network nor electricity. And since it’s the one and only resort in this secluded spot, I assure you that there’ll be zero disturbances.

On our way to Bag-angan farm

You’ll experience a rocky ride, traveling to the farm resort via service truck. That’s why you need to hold on to something since the road is unpaved. I guess this place can be muddy during rainy season while a little dusty during the dry season.

The signage every kilometer, “kapit lang bes”.

We are welcome by beautiful green scenery which composed of huge trees, small rivers, and mountains on the other site. While traveling, it makes me miss my hometown Tarlac due to the fresh air that is surrounding us.

Surrounded by paddy fields, Bag-Angan is where you’ll be sleeping right next to nature. It comes with a view of the unruffled countryside, and you can take a dip in the resort’s infinity pool to cool off.

Sunset in Bag-Angan Farm

To experience living in the province, we spend a night here in Bag-Angan. There’s no electricity here but they have gas lamps and solar powered led lights. There are even no fancy concrete structures, just a simple nipa hut with a manmade infinity pool in the middle of the farm.

Apart from that, there are limited data from Globe network that’s why making or receiving calls is quite difficult as well as sending messages. So make sure you’ll inform your family or friends about the mobile services of the resort prior to your visit.

They also have a fish pond with tilapia!

ACTIVITIES

They also offer some activity like playing sports such as volleyball, basketball, trekking and hiking to a nearby cave. In fact, this place is great for team building or if you’re looking for some adventure.
