Shari Shari Kakigori House, the go-to place for authentic Japanese shaved ice desserts. Very much like its outlets in Hong Kong, the Manila branch has everything that has made the Shari Shari Kakigori a favorite!
Kakigori started during the 19th century and had a wonderful history of how the Japanese adapted the concept of this ice dessert. Though the ideas and flavors originally came from Japan, the business was first established and loved in Hong Kong with two branches in Causeway and Central So Ho.
Shari Shari has a small space that can probably seat around 20-30 persons. The tables are convenient for those who are not on the go and would like to sit and sip their drink while chatting.
PROCEDURE:
The main ingredient of Kakigori is ice, which is thinly shaved by a machine imported from Japan.
All of their flavors are also imported but currently, they offer exclusive flavors for Manila
Unlike Korean bingsu which focuses more on the abundance of toppings, kakigori gets most of its flavor from the syrup that is generiously drizzled on top of the fluffy snow-like shaved ice.
CHRISTMAS SPECIAL:
For their christmas special they offer Pistacio Raspberry and Choco Hazelnut.
As you can see they offer a huge serving that is good for 2-3 pax.
Overall, the place is perfect for small groups who wanted to have a quick dessert fix. Though priced at a premium, you would definitely get your money’s worth as each spoonful guarantees a grin from ear to ear
They are located just side by side with Brown Cafe. You can also order from Brown Cafe while you’re enjoying your kakigori at the same time.
