KTO Miss Flower Spring Review

The birds are chirping, bees are buzzing, spring flowers and spring romance are about to be in full bloom. Spring is the time of love  All flesh in the world revives and start to live another life. 

Here’s a new promotional video from KTO set among Korea’s Beautiful Spring Flowers. Fans of Korean Dramas will surely appreciate the romantic love story of this short film entitled “Miss Flower, produced by the KTO to showcase Korea’s brilliant floral scenery.

 Lush shots of azaleas, cherry blossoms, and green barley form a backdrop for this quiet love story of a young photographer and the girl he likes. A touching score by Juan Han (the soundtrack composer for Christmas in August and One Fine Spring Day) accompanies the story of spring blooms and young love

Miss Flower starts with the scenery of  Azalea (철쭉)

 

The Azalea can often be found growing as a small bush or as a shrub. Some choose to carefully prune them into thinner or taller shapes. This plant can be grown from seeds or by planting healthy cuttings and long lived, with many thriving for decades w/ proper care. There are many festivals and events that feature these flowers. Azaleas are a flowering shrub known for their fragrant bright blooms. The shrubs bloom in spring, with flowers lasting for several weeks. Blossoms are often one per stem instead of in large cluster groups 

 

Azalea: Passion and Fragility

 

Azalea is a symbol for fragile or ephemeral passion and love. This is often due to the delicate nature of the petals of the flowers. This interpretation often changes but passion remains to be popular. Some use them as a sign of abundance in either life or love and also used to represent womanhood such as motherhood. These are popular around mother’s day and other spring holidays.

 

Persimmon Trees

Persimmon trees is located in Naganeupseong Folk Village (Jeollanam-do Province) and it contains a town castle. I noticed that there are numerous straw-roff houses

Persimmon Tree is considered as a Beautiful Resting place because it has a peaceful ambiance and for sure everyone will feel comfortable in this place. Its harvest time in Korea is autumn season (October to early December) is the only season persimmons are plentiful. If you live in Korea, you will see them being sold everywhere—from outdoor markets, grocery stores, to subway stations. For about 1,000 won, you can buy four to five persimmons. An affordable and healthy treat, persimmons are rich in potassium, magnesium, and vitamin A.

Cherry Blossom

In Korea, spring is a season of full blossom of various flowers! One of famous spring flowers in Korea is Cherry Blossom

 

 

 

Cherry blossom is the beautiful flower of the cherry trees known as sakura. In English, “sakura” refers to the Japanese flowering cherry, Prunus serrulata. Cherry blossoms are indigenous to many East Asian states including Japan, Korea, and China. Various festivals are held between March and May to celebrate spring.

 Green Tea 

The first thing that popped up in my mind while watching this vid was the Banaue Rice Terraces coz it quite resembles into it. 

 

In Bosung, Jeollanam-do, layered green tea fields are really well-known and good place to create happy moments and unforgettable memories with your love one. Specially, in spring, you can enjoy the full fragrance of baby green tea leaves. The landscape is marvelous. It feels relaxing and comfortable  that everyone will enjoy these awesome cedar trees.

 

Flowers are blossoming across the nation, filling the air with their gentle, sweet fragrance. It plays diverse role in human life representing a unique meaning

Canola flower is one of famous spring flowers in Korea with Azalea, Cheery Blossom, Sansuyu flowers, etc. Especially Canola flowers usually make a big field in some islands, such as Jeju-island or Wando-island and Cheongsando-island, Jeollanam-do in southern sea of Korea.

 

 

Cheongsando island is named for its fresh green nature, such as sky, ocean and mountains around the island. Cheongsando island consists of 5 inhabited islands and 9 uninhabited islands. All islands belong to Dadohaehaesang national park. Canola fields and Barley fields are especially popular during spring, as the locations were used as a drama set ‘Waltz of Spring’

 

 

Tulip is a strong symbolic flower meaning, just like roses. 

Red tulips most strongly associated with true love  With their crown shaped bloom, they amplify the feeling of serenity and elegance. 

 ‘A woman while getting a red tulip finds her boy has irresistible love towards her.’ With all of the sentiments and meanings of tulips, it’s not surprising that the popularity continues to endure

Festivals give us a chance to learn about things from cultural history, to culinary specialties, or even simply to visit a new place for the sake of adventure. And when there’s a festival in a place like Gochang, Jeollabuk-do, like the Gochang Green Barley Field Festival, there’s a chance to eat great food and take in some fantastic local attractions in weekend. 

 

The Gochang Green Barley Field Festival is held yearly from the end of April into early May.  After a long and cold Korean winter, the barley could grow as much as it does in such a short time before the festival, but the fact is, the barley fields are full of unusually bright green plants and the weather is decisively not cold anymore. The festival grounds are located a 20 minute or so bus ride outside of Gochang.

 

 

Green Barley is such a nice place with a nice scenery, it would be really great if we bring our cameras in this place.
