The 5th Royal Culture Festival will kick off with an opening ceremony on April 26 and continue until May 5 at Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, Changgyeonggung Palace, Deoksugung Palace, and Jongmyo Shrine. Held every spring since 2015, the royal culture festival offers various events and activities at each of the venues.
The opening ceremony held at Gyeonghoeru in Gyeongbokgung Palace will feature the Royal Feast, performance celebrating the birthday of King Jeongjo’s mother, performance by the royal guards and more in an omnibus setting.
Representative programs of the festival include the masked parade at Gwanghwamun Square, traditional Oriental medicine experience at Changdeokgung Palace, and pansori performances at Deoksugung Palace.
Visitors both domestic and international can also enjoy gugak (traditional Korean music) performances, exhibitions, experience programs and more at all the participating palaces and Jongmyo Shrine.More Info
