During winter in Korea, the bare tree branches become covered with snow and despite the chilling weather, winter is a fun-filled season. Korean winters offer a chance to try a wide variety of winter sports, seasonal foods, and attractions that will keep the cold at bay.

For the last episode of the Miss Flower series, present some of the most picturesque winter sites where crisp white snow blankets the ground, tree branches, and ancient palaces.
Everland is South Korea’s largest theme park. With 6.6 million visitors, Everland ranked thirteenth in the world for amusement park attendance in 2011.

If you are looking for a romantic spot in Seoul, then look no further than N Seoul Tower.
You can sit on the romantic benches for two and place your love lock on the love lock trees or fences. The tower has been opened since 1980 and stands 236.7m high. You can take the cable car up to the mountain, walk, bus, taxi or ride your own car. At the top, have a look around and see the view of the city on all sides
There are restaurants here, a teddy bear museum, the tower itself and more
Once you get up to the tower, you can check out the distances to major international cities across the world. Even the washrooms are interesting as they have clear glass and you can see the city view while in there. You can also send a post card from inside the tower and it will be delivered by mail.

Bukchon Hanok Village

Bukchon Hanok Village is a home to hundreds of traditional houses called HANOKthat date back to the Jose Dynasty. The name, ‘BUKCHON,’ which literally translates to ‘northern village,’ came about as the neighborhoods that the village covers lie to the north of the two significant Seoul landmarks, Cheonggyecheon Stream and Jongno.

The Bukchon Cultural Center
provides a wide range of information and provides visitors with a free map of the Bukchon area
Today, many of these hanoks operate as cultural centers, guesthouses, restaurants and tea houses, providing an opportunity to experience, learn and immerse in Korean traditional culture.

Deoksugung Palace
This palace is one of the Joseon Dynasty palace. It is also known as Gyeongungung Palace, the name was changed to Deoksugung when King Gojong took up residence at this palace in 1907.
The landscape surrounding the traditional architecture is beautiful all year round, but the palace is particularly popular as a winter destination for its scenic snow scenes.

This palace is famous for its elegant stone-wall road.

And it is also the only palace that sits alongside a series of western style buildings that add to the uniqueness of the surrounding scenery.

Changgyeonggung Palace
Changgyeonggung Palace is a royal palace from the Joseon Dynasty. It was originally built for King Taejeong and named Suguanggung Palace. During the reign of King Seonjong, the palace was renovated and renamed. It was restored to its original appearance in 1986 even though it was burned down during the Imjin War.
The palace has become a much-loved tourist destination, especially famous for its fall foliage and winter snow scenes.
It later became a park with a zoo and a botanical garden during Japanese colonial rule. The palace was then relocated in 1983 and regained its old grace after years of restoration.

Beartree Park
Beartree Park is a beautiful natural space in Chungcheongnam that is built to honor the Manchurian Black Bear and the delicate balance between man and nature.
The park also has a pond with 500 carp, and visitors can see blooming chrysanthemums along with other species of flowers even during the winter.

NAMI ISLAND

Nami Island was formed as a result of the construction of the Cheongpyeong Dam. It is a half moon shaped and on it is the grave of General Nami, who led a great victory against the rebels in the 13th year of the 7th king of the Joseon Dynasty, King Sejo.

Namiseom Island is 63 km away from Seoul in the direction of Chuncheon, and is famous for its beautiful tree lined roads.

Deogyusan National Park in Muju, Jeollabuk-do
The Park spans across Muju-gun and Jangsu-gun Counties in Jeollabuk-do Province and Geochang-gun County in Gyeongsangnam-do Province.

The Deogyusan Mountain range has multiple peaks over 1,000 meters high with Hangjeongbong Peak at 1,614m in the center.

It was designated a national park in 1975 for its beautiful valleys and diverse animal and plant life that inhabits the mountain ranges.
The grandeur of Deogyusan Mountain is greatest during the wintertime when a dazzling carpet of snow covers the mountain landscape.
